Statement of Purpose The Southeast Regional Resource Center provides technical assistance as well as serves as a link between State Education Agencies (SEAs) and Lead Agencies ( LAs) and appropriate technical assistance providers at National, State and Local levels to assist SEAs and LAs in achieving systemic change and improving results for children with disabilities and their families.

This program provides technical assistance and information that (1) supports State and Local entities in building capacity to improve early intervention, educational, and transitional services and results for children with disabilities and their families; and (2) addresses goals and priorities for changing State systems that provide early intervention, educational, and transitional services for children with disabilities and their families.

NEW! Hurricane Katrina – Information and Resources related to serving children with disabilities and their families affected by the hurricane

States across the nation are reaching out to serve the children and families affected by Hurricane Katrina. You will find resources related to providing early intervention, educational, and transitional services for children with disabilities and their families affected by the hurricane.

SERRC, in collaboration with NECTAC and other technical assistance providers, will provide up-to–date information for schools, displaced professionals, families and related service providers. State specific resources will also be listed.

IDEA PUBLIC MEETINGS John H. IDEA Data Website This web site provides public access to the most recent data about children with disabilities served under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). These data are collected annually by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs in accordance with Section 618 of IDEA. They are provided in the form of tables produced for the Annual Reports to Congress.
